Job summary

Horan Hiring Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced OB RN Director to lead a dedicated team delivering exceptional care to mothers and newborns in Michigan. The role focuses on clinical excellence, staff development, and adherence to standards in Labor & Delivery.

The successful candidate will mentor staff, guide patient care, and drive performance improvements while maintaining compliance and high patient satisfaction. In-person work is required.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license and an Associate's Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• BLS-HCP certification required.
• 4 years of Labor and Delivery experience preferred; 2 years leadership experience in healthcare preferred.
• Certifications in NRP, AWHONN-EFM, AWHONN-POEP, and STABLE current or within 1 year.
• Annual influenza vaccination preferred or declination.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee patient care in the OB department using the nursing process.
• Identify and address issues affecting clinical service delivery.
• Conduct performance improvement studies and support implementation of related initiatives.
• Act as a resource for staff and external contacts regarding patient care, flow, and clinical standards.
• Ensure departmental compliance with accreditation, legal, and healthcare standards.
• Manage staff scheduling, educational activities, and performance evaluations.
• Provide and coordinate educational needs for patients, specifically in Labor and Delivery.
