Job summary

United Future is seeking an experienced OB RN Director to lead a team delivering high-quality care to mothers and newborns. You will mentor staff, ensure clinical excellence, and drive patient satisfaction in a dedicated OB unit.

The role emphasizes leadership in labor and delivery, adherence to standards, and ongoing education. In-person reporting is expected at the specified Michigan location.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license and an Associate's Degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s preferred.
• BL S-HCP certification required.
• 4 years of Labor and Delivery experience preferred.
• 2 years of healthcare leadership experience preferred.
• Certifications (NRP, AWHONN-EFM, AWHONN-POEP, STABLE) current or within 1 year.
• Annual influenza vaccination or declination required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee patient care in the OB department using nursing process.
• Identify and address issues affecting clinical service delivery.
• Conduct performance improvement studies and support initiatives.
• Act as a resource for staff and external contacts on care standards.
• Ensure compliance with accreditation and healthcare standards.
• Manage staff scheduling, education, and evaluations.
• Provide educational support for Labor and Delivery patients.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
