Job summary

Career Crunch is seeking an OB RN Director to lead labor and delivery nursing care, coordinate clinical services, and drive performance improvements in a hospital setting.

The role requires a Michigan RN license, an associate degree in nursing (bachelor’s preferred), and L&D leadership experience. Strong emphasis on patient education, staff development, and compliance with accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• BLS Health Care Provider certification.
• 4+ years Labor and Delivery experience (preferred).
• 2+ years leadership experience in healthcare (preferred).
• NRP, AWHONN-EFM, AWHONN-POEP, STABLE (current or within 1 year).
• Annual influenza vaccination or declination required.

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates care of the OB patient using nursing process.
• Identifies and resolves issues affecting delivery of clinical services.
• Performs performance improvement studies and assists with PI initiatives.
• Serves as a resource to staff and external contacts on patient care, patient flow and clinical standards.
• Monitors compliance with accreditation, legal, and The Joint Commission requirements.
• Coordinates staff scheduling, education, and performance evaluations.
• Provides patient education, specifically to Labor and Delivery.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
