Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams in accordance with provider orders and established protocols. You will verify patient identity, prepare patients, and acquire optimal images while ensuring patient comfort and privacy.

Responsibilities include maintaining EMR/PACS documentation, educating patients about the exam, and collaborating with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses.

Qualifications

• Detailed knowledge of ultrasound physics and anatomy.
• Independent procedures to Radiologist standards.
• Must read, write, and speak conversational English.
• Ability to use Radiology software and PACS.
• Continuing education and up-to-date registrations.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
• Verify patient identity, history, and suitability before scanning.
• Position patients and equipment for optimal images.
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and PACS.
• Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort and privacy.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and according to protocol.
• Collaborate with radiologists for accurate diagnosis.
• Ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked; manage inventory.
