Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams per orders and protocols.
• Verifies patient identity and collects clinical history before scanning.
• Positions patients and equipment to acquire optimal images and data.
• Documents findings in EMR/PACS accurately and timely.
• Educates patients about the exam and maintains privacy and comfort.
• Operates imaging equipment safely and adheres to infection control standards.
• Collaborates with radiologists to ensure imaging quality and continuity of care.
• Maintains clean exam rooms and stores supplies; reports inventory needs.
• Completes ultrasound worksheets to support radiologist review and dictation.
