Job summary

Scripps Health seeks a Patient Service Representative at the Scripps Coastal Medical Center Oceanside OB/GYN department. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, processing registrations, scheduling, and payments to support a seamless patient experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare registration is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to verify patient demographics and insurance information.

Responsibilities

• Gather information for accurate patient registration and assign Medical Record Number; schedule appointments; manage point-of-service payments.
• Respond to patient billing and payment inquiries in a timely manner.
• Oversee check-in/check-out process, verify ID, and complete end-of-day reporting and reconciliation.
• Enter insurance details and referrals; schedule and confirm patient appointments.
• Proactively address patient concerns and involve leadership when needed.
