Job summary

The University of Missouri-Columbia's Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women's Health is seeking a medical scribe to ensure accurate and complete medical record information for each patient. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six months experience as a Medical Scribe or related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Accompany the physician into the patient examination room to transcribe history and physical exam and document the physician-patient encounter in real time.
• List all proper diagnoses and symptoms and follow up instructions and prescriptions as dictated by the physician.
• Transcribe patient orders including laboratory tests, radiology tests, medications, etc.
• Document any procedures performed by the physician.
