Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs, and NPs with clinical and clerical tasks. You will manage patient flow, prepare exam rooms, document vitals and allergies in the EHR, and assist with scheduling and referrals to ensure smooth patient care across satellite locations.

You will work under supervision with a focus on patient-centered care, adherence to safety protocols, and accurate medical record keeping in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner, required.
• Basic proficiency in computer use, required.
• Ability to commute to satellite offices as needed, required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room; escorts patient into the room and cleans the room after exams.
• Maintains efficient patient flow.
• Ensures proper preparation for patient visits.
• Prepares pertinent information for patient visits.
• Documents vitals, meds, allergies in EHR; maintains accurate records.
• Schedules appointments according to guidelines and processes messages.
• Stocks exam rooms with supplies and assists in ordering supplies.
