Job summary

Together Women’s Health is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join their growing medical team. The MA embraces a strong commitment to providing an exceptional patient experience with every interaction, ensuring each patient encounter is professional, warm and caring.

Responsibilities include collecting patient history and vitals, preparing exam rooms, assisting physicians, administering injections and phlebotomy, and accurate documentation in the EMR.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical office setting or graduation from a certified Medical Assistant program is required.
• CCMA certification preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1+ years in a medical office.
• Experience with EMR systems and medical terminology is required.
• Prior experience at an OB/GYN office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient health history and enter into Electronic Medical Record.
• Set up and prepare exam room for patient visit to ensure cleanliness.
• Perform any preliminary physical tests and obtain vitals.
• Set up any additional diagnostic and/or treatment equipment.
• Administer injections and perform phlebotomy as needed.
• Complete all documentation pertaining to patient’s medical record, test requests, medications and patient education with accuracy and timeliness.
• May perform Scribe duties.
• Assist the physician as directed.
• Must work well in a team environment.
