Job summary

Women’s Care in Brandon, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide professional clinical support within a fast-paced obstetrics/gynecology team. You will prepare patients for examinations, assist providers during procedures, and ensure rooms, labs, and equipment are sterile and ready for visits.

You will record medical histories, vital signs, and medication information, perform phlebotomy and injections when directed, and document in the electronic medical records system while delivering

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• MA certification or eligibility to obtain within 120 days in FL.
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtainable within 30 days.
• Experience in OB/GYN or primary care is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during treatment/procedures.
• Prepare, restock, and sterilize examination rooms, procedure rooms, lab areas and related spaces.
• Record patients' medical history, health maintenance, and chief complaint.
• Measure, record, and document vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy and injections as directed by the provider.
• Educate patients and family members regarding procedures and care.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and a safe work environment.
• Enter data in electronic medical records (eCW) and relay messages.
