Job summary

Women's Care in Brandon, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide professional clinical care and support during patient visits. You will prep patients, assist providers, and help maintain clean, stocked exam and lab areas.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CMA preferred or certification within 120 days, CPR/BLS, and EMR experience (eCW). Duties include phlebotomy, injections, vital signs, and patient education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred or ability to obtain certification within 120 days.
• Graduate of nationally accredited Medical Assistant program or Armed Forces Medical Technician with honorable discharge.
• Current CPR and/or BLS certification preferred or obtainable within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during treatment, examinations, and testing.
• Prepare, restock, and sterilize examination rooms, procedure rooms, lab area and all other patient care areas.
• Record patients' medical history, health maintenance, and chief complaint; document vital signs.
• Where applicable, perform phlebotomy, injections and other specimen collection as directed.
• Educate patients and maintain HIPAA compliance; represent the office professionally.
• Attend required meetings and participate in team activities and professional development.
