Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the North Charlotte OBGYN Mountain Island location. You will perform rooming, vital signs, chart reviews, labs, and assist providers in procedures in a fast-paced OB/GYN setting.

This is a full-time role with 40 hours per week, primarily M-F, with potential float between Huntersville and Mt Island locations. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, BLS, and at least two years of

Qualifications

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to develop rapport with patients and team members.
Two years of experience in a clinical practice setting as a Medical Assistant.
Proficient computer skills including keyboarding and use of electronic medical records systems.

Responsibilities

Adheres to Medical Assistant scope of practice and follows policies and procedures.
Performs rooming/visit tasks including vital signs, history, reviews, and screenings.
Assists provider with procedures and laboratory duties including venipuncture and specimen handling.
Performs POCT and waived laboratory testing per CLIA standards.
Administers medications and vaccines safely.
Supports scheduling, referrals, and patient messaging.
