Advocate Health Care is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for a Fort Mill, SC OBGYN practice. You will perform rooming, vitals, med reconciliation, basic lab duties, vaccines, and assist providers with procedures in a busy obstetrics/gynecology setting.

Position requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited MA program or equivalent military training. Certification (CMA/RMA) is preferred; 2 years MA experience is expected in some divisions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of accredited Medical Assistant program or clinically oriented military training per DD214.
• Two years of verifiable Medical Assistant experience within last five years (varies by location).

Responsabilités

• Adheres to MA scope of practice and follows department policies.
• Performs rooming tasks: vital signs, med reconciliation, history, screenings.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Programs and performs lab duties: venipuncture, labeling, packing, results tracking.
• Conducts POCT per standing orders and CLIA-waived tests.
• Administers medications and vaccines per rights of administration.
• Handles refills, authorizations, scheduling, and referrals as needed.
• Maintains clean, stocked work environment and supports onboarding.
• Demonstrates effective communication and teamwork; age-specific patient care knowledge.
