Job summary

University of Michigan Health-West is seeking an OB Care Technician 2 for the night shift (7p–7a), 36 hours per week. Under RN supervision, you will provide basic nursing care, assist as a scrub tech during Cesarean sections, and handle clerical tasks in Labor and Delivery and Mother/Baby.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and BLS/CPR; CENA or health science program enrollment preferred. Two years of acute clinical or labor/delivery experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS/CPR provider.
• CENA certification or enrollment in health science program preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Surgical technologist certification or completion of program preferred.
• Two years of acute clinical or labor and delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Cesarean Section as scrub tech and support RN.
• Set up and maintain sterile field and instruments.
• Transport and triage patients within Labor/Delivery.
• Clerical and receptionist duties in Labor and Delivery and Mother/Baby.
• Maintain inventory and cleanliness of OR and delivery areas.
