University of Michigan Health-West is seeking an OB Technician 1 to provide basic nursing care under RN supervision during nights. This 0.6 FTE role includes clerical and receptionist duties and support in the Mother Baby/Nursery area.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, current BLS, and may hold a CENA certification or be enrolled in a health science program; obstetrics experience is preferred, with a strong patient-centered approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current CENA certification or enrollment in a health science program preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) is required.
• Experience in obstetrics is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist OB patients with ambulation and hygiene.
• Support infant care and nursing tasks under RN supervision.
• Maintain patient information and coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Prepare and stock nursery supplies and equipment.
• Assist with clerical duties such as answering phones and charting.
• Demonstrate professional communication and confidentiality.
