University of Michigan Health-West seeks an OB Care Technician 2 for the Obstetrics department. The role supports RN supervision in basic patient care, acts as a scrub tech for Cesarean sections, and handles clerical tasks in Labor and Delivery and Mother/Baby.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, current BLS/CPR, and either CENA certification or enrollment in a health-science program with nursing fundamentals; surgical technologist certification preferred.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS/CPR provider required.
• Must meet one: CENA certification or enrollment in health science program with nursing fundamentals or clinical rotation; equivalent healthcare-related experience may apply.
• Surgical technologist certification or completion of program with eligibility preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in Cesarean section scrub setup and instrument handling.
• Transport patients and manage triage and delivery area duties.
• Support Labor and Delivery, Mother/Baby with vital signs, nutrition, hygiene and documentation.
• Perform clerical tasks: charting, log updates, admissions and transfers.
• Maintain asepsis, set up and clean operating rooms and equipment, and stock supplies.
