Binson's Orthotics & Prosthetics is hiring for a full-time front desk/administrative role in Michigan. The position supports patient intake, scheduling, and insurance coordination to ensure a smooth clinic experience.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and at least 1 year of front desk or medical administrative experience, plus familiarity with insurance terminology and basic office software. Training will occur at the Center Line headquarters, with standard clinic hours.

Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of medical insurance terminology (referrals, authorizations, co-insurance).
  • Proficiency with basic office software and ability to learn internal systems quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors, check them in/out, and keep reception area clean and welcoming.
  • Process patient intake forms, collect demographic info, medical history, and consent forms.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments for evaluations, fittings, and follow-ups.
  • Collect co-pays/deductibles, issue receipts, and manage payments.
  • Answer clinic calls, address basic inquiries, and route advanced questions to staff.
  • Manage prescriptions and referrals, build patient charts, and track order progress for timely delivery.

The Role: This role ensures a smooth and supportive patient experience by managing intake, coordinating with physicians and insurers, and organizing equipment pick-up and delivery for our Orthotics & Prosthetics department.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Training:

Training will take place at our Center Line, MI headquarters for approx 2-3 months.

What We're Looking For
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of front desk reception or administrative experience, preferably in a medical or clinical setting.
  • Basic understanding of medical insurance terminology (referrals, authorizations, co-insurance).
  • Proficiency with basic office software and the ability to quickly learn internal systems.
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Greet patients and visitors upon arrival, check them in and out, and ensure the reception area remains clean, welcoming, and accessible.
  • Distribute, collect, and review patient intake, ensuring all demographic information, medical history, and consent forms are accurately entered into the system.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments for initial evaluations, casting/scanning, device fittings and follow-up adjustments, optimizing the daily schedules for our clinical staff.
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances at the time of service, and provide accurate receipts.
  • Answer incoming clinic phone calls and address basic inquiries.
  • Manage incoming prescriptions and physician referrals, create accurate patient charts, and assist in tracking the progress of orthotic and prosthetic orders to ensure timely delivery of care.
