Job summary

Duke Energy in Mooresboro, NC is hiring a multiskilled O&M I/E Tech I to support the Cliffside Steam Station. You will operate and maintain coal plant equipment, follow procedures for normal operations, and participate in safety and emergency programs.

This on-site role requires mobility and willingness to work rotating shifts. Qualified candidates have a technical degree or similar experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in demanding environments while wearing PPE and

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and able to pass safety requirements.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical or I&C systems.
• Able to work in high heat/cold and confined spaces.
• Pass respiratory physical and wear PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Start-up, shutdown, and monitor plant equipment per procedures.
• Service and maintain equipment; calibrate as needed.
• Participate in safety programs and emergency procedures.
• Train and qualify in EDQP and other company programs.
