Duke Energy Corporation in Mooresboro, NC, seeks a multiskilled plant operator responsible for start-up, shutdown, monitoring, servicing and maintenance of all equipment at the coal generating facility. You will follow approved procedures, troubleshoot and calibrate equipment, and adhere to strict safety protocols and emergency procedures.

The role requires experience in mechanical, electrical or I&C systems, plus qualifications in Operations and Mechanical.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills utilizing windows applications, emails and work management software.
• Demonstrated mechanical, electrical or I&C experience.
• Ability to wear all required safety equipment and work in confined spaces.
• Ability to pass respiratory physical and wear all personal protective equipment.
• Ability to undergo training and participate in EDQP.
• Successful completion of POSS and/or MASS.
• Ability to work around equipment that generates electromagnetic fields.

Responsabilités

• Follow approved procedures for start-up, shutdown, and normal operations of plant equipment.
• Monitor, service and maintain equipment and systems at the coal generating facility.
• Troubleshoot, repair and calibrate plant equipment as needed.
• Adhere to location safety procedures including red tagging and PPE.
