Job summary

Duke Energy Buck Steam Station in Salisbury, NC is seeking a CT Tech Operator to support the safe and reliable operation of combustion turbine facilities. You will perform start-up, shutdown, monitoring, troubleshooting, calibration, and routine maintenance across plant systems while following strict safety procedures.

The role requires mechanical and electrical aptitude, the ability to read OEM manuals, and the flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required.
• Ability to read technical OEM manuals.
• Proficiency with Windows-based software and work management tools.
• Associates degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and monitor plant systems as part of a rotating shift.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on substation equipment.
• Follow Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures and safety guidelines.
• Read and follow technical drawings, manuals and control logic as needed.
• Maintain records and logs of operations, maintenance and safety.
• Support high voltage safety and regulatory compliance.
