Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Facilities Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day onsite operations for a large federal government facility in Washington. You will coordinate engineering, custodial, pest control, elevator, and snow/ice-removal services across 500,000 sq ft and six acres, leading diverse teams and subcontractors.
You will enforce safety and quality standards, manage preventive maintenance schedules, handle service requests, and maintain accurate documentation for
• Manage day-to-day onsite facilities operations for a large federal government facility
• Oversee engineering, custodial, pest control, elevator, and snow/ice-removal operations across approximately 500,000 square feet and six acres
• Lead managers, supervisors, technicians, custodians, support staff, and subcontractors
• Ensure staff and subcontractors follow management plans, processes, safety requirements, and quality requirements
• Direct scheduling and completion of preventive maintenance, repairs, project work, and service requests
• Resolve conflicts, deficiencies, and issues according to reporting and corrective-action requirements
• Maintain program documentation and records for code requirements, contract deliverables, plans, training, certifications, licenses, and permits
• Manage subcontractors and vendors, including performance reviews and follow-up actions
• Supervise and perform quality control for facility and custodial services teams and subcontractors
• Manage proposals for the base contractor and additional services and order-level materials (OLM)
• Respond to mission-critical facility emergencies, including reporting onsite within one hour of notification
Demonstrates extensive experience in facility management, including operations and maintenance, project management, and quality control. Proficient in managing CMMS systems, ensuring compliance with safety and code requirements, and leading diverse teams in a large-scale federal environment.
