Job summary

iMentor seeks an Associate Director of Development to drive institutional giving and grow the NYC region’s funding portfolio. The role involves building strong relationships with institutional and corporate supporters, translating program impact into compelling funder narratives, and serving as an external spokesperson for iMentor NYC.

Reporting to the Director of Development, NYC, you will cultivate deep relationships with funders, create touchpoints for corporate champions, and lead grant

Qualifications

• 5+ years of fundraising and development experience across multiple revenue streams.
• Experience interacting with a variety of donor bases and funders.
• Excellent written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills, with persuasive storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Conduct landscape analysis to diversify funders, including smaller foundations and corporate partners.
• Build a network of supporters to solicit new funders.
• Devise and execute a stewardship and communications plan highlighting mentor stories and impact.
• Collaborate with NYC and national teams to generate proposals and funder pitches.
• Write grant proposals, reports, letters of inquiry, and donor materials.
