Center for Employment Opportunities seeks a Senior Associate, Development to co-lead high-stakes fundraising initiatives, including government grants and major gifts, in collaboration with senior leadership. You will mentor Development Associates and align fundraising with organizational impact across regional and national portfolios.

You’ll work with Program, Investment, Finance, and Grants teams to ensure timely submissions, research prospective funders, and deliver compelling impact stories

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience with fund development and grant writing with revenue generation.
• Experience managing complex cross-functional projects across geographically dispersed teams.
• Proven track record partnering with executive leaders, board members, or senior program directors on funding opportunities.
• Strong presentation and pitching skills to institutional funders and individual donors.
• Foundational leadership and coaching across dispersed teams.
• Excellent written and verbal storytelling to translate workforce development and justice-system data into compelling cases for support.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
• Rigorous attention to grant guidelines, budgeting, and reporting.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Salesforce CRM/donor management platforms preferred.
• Ability to shift priorities to meet organizational needs.
• Commitment to social and racial justice.

Responsabilités

• Drafts, assembles, and submits responses to foundation, corporate, and government RFPs, concept papers, and LOIs.
• Coordinates development of grant reports for institutional funders and donors.
• Researches prospective funders and develops strategic memos for funding priorities.
• Coordinates site visits with funders and drafts briefing memos and follow-up communications.
• Collaborates with Program, Investment, Finance, and Grants teams to ensure timely deliverables and grant compliance.
• Tracks cultivation, solicitations, deliverables, and milestones in Salesforce.
• Regional and national fundraising strategy planning with leadership.
• Lead on high-stakes, multi-stakeholder revenue opportunities including federal grants and major gifts.
• Prepares strategy memos, concept decks, and presentations for funders and stakeholders.
• Provides guidance and onboarding support to Development Associates; co-leads training sessions.
• Leads portfolio reviews and ensures data integrity in Salesforce.
