Job summary

The Institute for Nonprofit Practice, based in New York City, seeks an Executive Director to lead the New York hub and deliver impact and excellence across the city. You will partner with senior leaders to execute an expansion strategy, grow a sustainable operation, and build a vibrant alumni network among nonprofit leaders.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of nonprofit or business management experience.
• Proven fundraising track record.
• Strong leadership and staff development capabilities.

• Ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience launching initiatives or scaling organizations.
• Flexible, adaptive, mission-driven mindset.
• Strong public presence and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, manage and develop a diverse regional team of 2-3 full-time staff and additional faculty.
• Oversee regional program operations, evaluation, finance, fundraising and communications.
• Hire and support a regional New York Associate Director for recruitment, operations and alumni work.
• Lead fundraising and communications efforts to grow NYC growth capital and revenue.
