Job summary

The Media Line seeks a dynamic Director of Development to lead all fundraising efforts in New York. The role will diversify funding from foundations, government, corporations and individuals, and drive campaigns including major gifts and social media initiatives.

You will build and manage relationships, design development strategies, and work with leadership to expand the organization’s reach and impact through a robust fundraising program.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of fundraising experience with foundation and government grants.
• Experience building major donor pipelines and corporate/foundation partnerships.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to present to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead development strategy to diversify funding sources and increase income.
• Cultivate relationships with foundations, government funders, and major donors.
• Create fundraising campaigns including major gifts and social media.
