Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner with NY jurisdiction experience for a full-time remote/hybrid role. You will analyze NY Lost-Time claims to determine benefits due and ensure adjudication aligns with client service requirements.

Responsibilities include negotiating settlements, communicating with claimants and clients, and coordinating with the excess carrier. NY licensing is required; a HS diploma is required with a bachelor’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred; Professional certification as applicable to line of business.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of claims management experience or equivalent.
• Jurisdiction Knowledge: NY; Licensing: NY - Required.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and processing NY Lost-Time claims to determine benefits due and adjudication within service expectations.
• Negotiating settlements within designated authority.
• Communicating claim activity to claimants and clients.
• Reporting claims to the excess carrier and handling directions professionally.
