Sedgwick is seeking a qualified Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner with NY jurisdiction experience to adjudicate complex NY Lost-Time claims for top clients. You will analyze claims, determine benefits due, and manage settlements within authority, while maintaining service standards and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Education and Licensing: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Jurisdiction Knowledge: NY
• Licensing: NY - Required

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and processing NY Lost-Time claims to determine benefits due and ensure adjudication within service expectations.
• Negotiating settlements within designated authority.
• Communicating claim activity with the claimant and client.
• Reporting claims to the excess carrier and responding to directions professionally and timely.
