Job summary

Sedgwick is hiring a Workers Compensation Claims Examiner to analyze New York Lost-Time claims on behalf of clients, determine due benefits, and ensure adjudication within service expectations. The role supports hybrid or remote work arrangements while leveraging Sedgwick’s network and resources.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in claims management, a high school diploma or GED (Bachelor's preferred), and NY licensing.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years of claims management experience.
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and process NY Lost-Time claims to determine benefits.
• Investigate and gather information to determine exposure on the claim.
• Negotiate settlements within designated authority.
• Communicate claim activity with the claimant and the client.
• Report claims to the excess carrier and respond to directions in a professional and timely manner.
