Job summary

Sylvania is seeking Nutrition Services staff to provide breakfast and lunch for students. Primary duties include meal preparation and service, ensuring USDA regulations and food safety compliance, cleaning and sanitizing equipment and facilities, possible operation of a computerized POS system, and moving of food and non-food items.

Hourly rate is $15. Work hours vary by site, typically 8:00 am to 2:30 pm. The position runs 9 months (on-call) and is non-benefitted.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must obtain a Food Handler card within 30 days after hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals in compliance with USDA regulations and food safety standards.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and facilities.
• Possibly operate a computerized POS system.
• Move food and non-food items as needed.

Job description

This is an ongoing recruitment. After an application is submitted, the Nutrition Services Manager will contact applicants for interviews on an as-needed basis.

Job Summary: Nutrition Services staff provides our students with breakfast and lunch. Primary responsibility is for the preparation and service of meals that ensure federal USDA meal regulation and food safety compliance cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facility, possible operation of a computerized POS system, and the moving of food and non-food items. These tasks are fast-paced and repetitive in a loud kitchen environment.

Hourly rate: $15

Work hours: Start times vary depending on location site, but most positions work between the hours of 8 am. - 2:30 pm

Work year: 9 months (on-call)

This position is non-benefitted.

Job Qualifications

1. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
2. Obtain a Food Handler card within 30 days after hire.
