Job summary

Robbinsdale Area Schools is seeking a Substitute nutrition services employee to assist in preparing and serving quality meals to students and staff. This role requires attention to kitchen safety, cleanliness, and timely service in a busy school cafeteria.

Three to five hours per day, with a wage of $15.47 per hour, offering flexible part-time hours for the school year. Prior food service experience is desirable, and a high school diploma or GED is required to support safe, friendly food service.

• Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve quality food in a timely, customer-focused manner.
• Prepare food according to a planned menu and tested recipes using commercial equipment.
• Assist with daily setup and cleaning of kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and sanitary conditions.
• Attend work regularly and report to work in a timely manner.
• Additional duties as assigned.

• Ability to perform job and communicate in a noisy environment.
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs. such as milk crates, frozen foods and canned foods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in food service desirable.
