Job summary

Memphis-Shelby County Schools is seeking a Human Resource Staffing Advisor (Nutrition Services) to build strong relationships with Nutrition Services managers and supervise sourcing, assignment, onboarding and retention of high-quality candidates. The role collaborates with managers, supervisors, and HR staff to develop short- and long-range plans for Nutrition Services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• PHR or SPHR certification preferred.
• 5 years of HR or related work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and maintains strong relationships with Nutrition Services managers to support sourcing, assignment, induction, retention and performance of candidates.
• Guides hiring managers to implement best practices for hiring, managing and retaining staff to ensure compliance with district/state/federal regulations.
• Acts as liaison between Nutrition Services managers and District HR to troubleshoot issues and address questions about HR processes (FMLA, FLSA, licensure, compensation, etc.).
• Researches department data (absenteeism, retention, turnover, performance) to identify trends and drive decisions.
• Coordinates with Talent Acquisition to develop recruitment plans and strong selection processes for Nutrition Services roles.
• Assists in screening and sourcing candidates; promotes innovative solutions to meet staffing needs.
• Guides new hires through onboarding; supports timely, effective integration from day one.
• Advises managers on performance management and retention strategies; supports employee relations teams as needed.
