Job summary

Shelby County Schools seeks a Nutrition Services Supervisor to oversee school cafeteria operations across multiple sites in Memphis. You will supervise staff, manage daily food service activities, ensure compliance with district policies and state regulations, and maintain accurate records and reports.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED, two years’ experience in institutional food service with supervision, and must obtain ServSafe certification within one year.

  • Two years of experience in institutional food service with supervision.
  • Proof of education, training, or experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise staff, establishing standards, and coach employees to meet targets.
  • Manage daily food service activities for student and staff meals.
  • Submit required reports and maintain records.
  • Train employees on regulations, procedures, and on-the-job practices.
  • Prepare food following standardized recipes and safety guidelines.
  • Fill in duties during staff shortages or events.
  • Attend trainings and meetings to enhance job knowledge and skills.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
