Washoe County School District in Nevada is hiring a Nutrition Services Worker to assist in preparing and serving meals for breakfast, lunch and a la carte options. You may be assigned to a school site or the central kitchen and will work under supervision of the Nutrition Services Coordinator.

You will operate, clean, and maintain kitchen equipment, input data into POS and food service software, and help ensure safety and sanitation per health department standards.

Qualifications

• Six months to one year of preparing and serving food.
• Completion of Safeschools course within the first year of employment.

Responsabilités

• Prepares food for student meal service, prepackaging, and line service.
• Data input at point of sale modules and food service computer programs.
• Practice proper food safety and sanitation per health department and district standards.
• Operates, maintains and cleans commercial kitchen equipment (mixers, ovens, etc.).
• Fills containers and dispensers; sets up serving equipment and carts.
• Cleans tables and serving areas; takes and records temperatures.
• Identifies and serves a reimbursable meal to each student.
• Receives and stocks groceries and supplies.
• May supervise and train NSTrainees or student workers.
