Job summary

Washoe County School District seeks a Nutrition Services Worker I at Incline Middle School. You will help prepare and serve meals, manage POS data, and ensure sanitary operations in a busy school kitchen.

The role supports distance-learning meal boxes when needed and may supervise students. Prior food service experience and Safe Schools training are preferred. Schedule: 18.75 hrs/wk, 180 days, at Incline MS.

Qualifications

• Experience in preparing and serving food in institutional settings.
• Two-hour SafeSchools course within the first year of employment.
• Ability to maintain sanitary food handling and storage practices.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for student meals and line service.
• Input data at point-of-sale modules and food service software.
• Maintain sanitation per health department and WCSD standards.
• Operate, maintain and clean commercial kitchen equipment.
• Set up serving equipment and carts with dishes and food.
• Train NSTrainees and assist in training student workers.
• May supervise student workers and assist with special functions.
