Job summary

The Georgia Department of Public Health is seeking a Nutrition Educator for the Jasper County WIC program to promote healthy eating and support families across the state. This part-time role offers two days per week with potential hybrid work after probation, enabling a flexible schedule while serving Georgia residents.

Ideal candidates hold a nutrition-related bachelor's degree (or RN license, or graduate enrollment) with transcripts ready for verification, and will join a mission-driven team

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in dietetics, nutrition or related field with accreditation verification.
• RN license in Georgia or graduate-level nutrition enrollment with transcripts.
• Must upload transcripts or verification documentation as required.

Responsibilities

• Promote, maintain, and improve community health by encouraging healthy lifestyles.
• Collect and analyze data to identify community needs and plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate programs.
• Provide counseling and develop care plans; refer to health care providers as needed.
• Record SOAP notes in electronic medical records and coordinate with partners.
• Travel may be required; maintain professional standards and stay updated on training.
• Support breastfeeding promotion and share nutrition resources; teach group classes.
