Job summary

The Georgia Department of Public Health, Sumter County Health Department, seeks a Part-Time Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist to support the WIC program. You will complete nutrition screenings, assessments, and education for eligible clients and may travel to surrounding counties.

This role offers up to 29 hours per week and requires a bachelor’s degree in dietetics or related field and ACEND verification. Eligible candidates will provide nutrition services, work in a collaborative team, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a nutrition field from an ACEND accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) or equivalent coursework per WIC guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Complete nutrition screenings, assessments, and education for eligible WIC clients.
• Provide nutrition services to clients in the WIC Program as assigned.
• May travel to the surrounding 16 counties as assigned.
• Support the mission and vision of protecting lives through community nutrition services.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in dietetics, human nutrition, foods and nutrition, nutrition education, food systems management, or a closely related field
