Job summary

Georgia Department of Public Health, Sumter County Health Department, is seeking a Part-time/Hourly Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist to provide nutrition services to WIC clients. You will complete nutrition screenings, assessments, and education for eligible individuals, and may travel to the surrounding 16 counties as assigned.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in dietetics or a closely related field and verification statement from an ACEND-accredited program; exceptions are allowed under

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in dietetics, human nutrition, foods and nutrition, nutrition education, food systems management, or a closely related field from an accredited college or university AND verification statement of completion of a didactic program accredited by The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
• Verification statement of completion of an ACEND-accredited didactic program in Dietetics (DPD) is required or eligible under guidelines.
• Candidates without a verification statement may still be eligible per Georgia WIC guidelines with specified coursework.

Responsibilities

• Complete nutrition screenings, assessments, and education for eligible WIC clients.
• Will travel to the surrounding 16 counties as assigned.
• Provide nutrition services as part of the WIC program.
