The State of Georgia, Department of Public Health, seeks a Nutrition Educator for the WIC program across the North Central Health District. Based at the Felton Homes WIC Office in Macon, GA, the role covers multiple sites with a three-day week schedule and additional days at Jeffersonville and Irwinton.

You will assess nutritional needs, counsel clients, promote breastfeeding, document in EMR, refer to health services, and lead group nutrition education while maintaining public health standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in dietetics or related field and verification statement of completion of a didactic program accredited by The Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics
• Active enrollment in a graduate-level nutrition program may be accepted
• Applicants must upload transcripts for verification during application

Responsabilités

• Assess nutritional status of women, infants, and children from records and questionnaires
• Provide counseling and develop care plans for high-risk individuals
• Record SOAP documentation in the participant's EMR
• Make referrals and coordinate care with health providers and community agencies
• Utilize accurate weight/height measurements for infants, children, and women
• Promote breastfeeding and share nutrition resources
• Teach group nutrition education classes and comply with applicable policies
