The Georgia Department of Public Health, North Central Health District, is seeking a Nutrition Educator for the Jasper County WIC program. This part-time role supports vital public health initiatives and offers a strong benefits package.

Two days per week (Monday and Thursday) with a probationary period; after that, a hybrid/remote Monday and onsite Thursday schedule. Requires a nutrition degree or RN license or graduate study in nutrition.

Qualifications

• Counsel individuals and communities to adopt healthy behaviors.
• Use Motivational Interviewing to set personal goals.
• Collect and analyze data to identify community needs.

Responsibilities

• Assess nutritional status of women, infants, and children.
• Provide counseling and develop care plans for high-risk cases.
• Coordinate referrals with health care providers and agencies.
• Promote and teach group nutrition education classes.
