Qualifications

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services for residents on the unit assigned.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations and facility policies.
• Reviews complaints and grievances by staff and reports to the Director of Nursing when required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains adequate stock of medications, supplies and equipment to meet resident needs.
• Notifies appropriate personnel of needs and supports smooth unit operations.
• Assists in developing written preliminary and comprehensive assessments of residents’ nursing needs.
• Makes nursing/aide assignments as indicated and coordinates with staff to ensure coverage.
