AHMC Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Patient Transporter to safely move patients via wheelchair or gurney throughout the hospital, ensuring patient readiness and proper equipment.

The role involves accurate hand-offs and adherence to HIPAA, infection control, and safety guidelines. Responsibilities include assisting nursing units, supporting orientation for new staff, and maintaining patient dignity and privacy during transport across hospital units.

Qualifications

• Six months of acute hospital experience preferred.
• CPR (AHA) certification required or completed by end of orientation.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsabilités

• Transport patients safely within the hospital using wheelchair or gurney.
• Verify patient identity and readiness, ensure equipment is attached.
• Provide clear hand-off reports to on-going shift personnel.
• Adhere to universal precautions, infection control, HIPAA and safety guidelines.
• Assist with training or orienting new staff and support nursing units as needed.
• Respect patient privacy, dignity, and cultural needs during transport.
