Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Kingwood is seeking a Transporter to move patients safely throughout the facility by ambulation, wheelchair, or stretcher. You will protect IV tubing and lines, monitor equipment, and help patients prepare for radiology procedures while maintaining dignity and comfort for neonatal to geriatric patients.

One year of patient care or transporter experience is preferred and BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• One year of patient care experience preferred.
• One year of transporter experience preferred.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients by ambulation, wheelchair, or stretcher as directed.
• Maintain IV tubing and Foley catheter in a safe position during transport.
• Inventory transportation equipment at end of shift.
• Instruct and assist patients regarding gown or apparel for radiographic procedures.
• Move patient support devices (IVAC pumps, oxygen) and maintain lines and equipment.
• Work as part of the transport team and support colleagues.
