Job summary

Rush Specialty Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking a Nursing Supervisor - Registered Nurse (RN) for full-time night shifts. You will oversee assigned nursing staff, ensure high-quality patient care, and coordinate with the Chief Nursing Officer to maintain clinical standards.

Role includes timely EPIC documentation, interpretation of labs and telemetry, accurate transcription of orders, and ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Valid State RN License is required.
• BLS is required at hire.
• ACLS required within first 6 months of hire/promotion into Nursing Supervisor position.

Responsibilities

• Direct assigned nursing personnel and serve as a resource person.
• Provide and oversee nursing care and maintain approved standards of patient care.
• Collaborate with appropriate persons for continuity of care under the Chief Nursing Officer guidance.
• Timely and accurate documentation using EPIC.
• Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Instruct and counsel patients/families.

Schedule: Full-Time- Nights

Compensation: $48.58 - $64.00 per hour (based on years of experience)

You will direct assigned nursing personnel, serving as a resource person and consultant. Provide and oversee nursing care, implement hospital and departmental philosophy and objectives. Maintain approved standards of patient care, collaborate with appropriate persons for continuity of care under the guidance of the Chief Nursing Officer.

• Two or more years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• One or more years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity
• CRRN preferred
