Job summary

RUSH Specialty Hospital in Chicago is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our inpatient rehabilitation unit. This full-time, day shift role offers 12-hour shifts and a competitive hourly compensation.

You will perform admissions and transfers, conduct initial assessments, document in EPIC, interpret labs and telemetry, ensure orders are accurate, and educate patients and families. ACLS/BLS requirements apply; full benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid State RN license required.
• BLS required at hire.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire (PRN must have ACLS upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Perform admissions and transfers for the unit.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments.
• Timely, accurate documentation using EPIC.
• Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.
• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed correctly.
• Instruct and counsel patients and families.

Schedule:

Full Time, 12hr shifts, Day Shift

Compensation:

$44.58 - $60 per hour (based on experience)

plus shift differential for weekend shifts
