Job summary

West Virginia Northern Community College is seeking dedicated Nursing Success Coaches/Tutors to support nursing students across three campuses using a wrap-around model. These short-term, grant-funded roles run primarily during Fall 2025, Spring 2026, and the first summer term, with weekly hours up to 19 and on-campus tutoring with limited remote options.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Familiarity with the ATI platform is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build rapport with students, faculty and staff to support on-time program completion.
• Provide one-on-one and group academic support in nursing content and skill development.
• Use evidence-based tutoring practices and clear objectives for each session.
• Maintain documentation of tutoring sessions and progress in designated platforms.
• Assist in identifying and connecting students to college and community resources.
