Job summary

Community College of Allegheny County is seeking a Nursing Student Success and Retention Specialist (Temp PT) to support at-risk nursing students and NCLEX readiness. The role emphasizes proactive remediation planning, coaching, and collaboration with nursing faculty across college-wide initiatives.

Responsibilities include developing individualized success plans, analyzing assessment data, and coordinating workshops to improve student outcomes.

Qualifications

MSN or BSN required with active pursuit of master's degree.
Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience; experience in nursing education or student success preferred.
Current Pennsylvania RN license or multi-state licensure privilege.
Ability to obtain ATI Proctor Certification and ATI Champion designation.
Proficiency with educational technology platforms and student success software.

Responsibilities

Identify academically at-risk students through performance reviews, assessments, and referrals.
Develop and implement individualized remediation and student success plans.
Provide academic coaching, study-skill development, and NCLEX readiness support.
Collect, analyze, and report retention and assessment data with faculty collaboration.
Coordinate remediation sessions and workshops, both individually and in groups.
