Qualifications

• 3+ years providing direct services to students in a holistic case management model.
• 1+ year higher education experience.
• Experience with FERPA and student confidentiality.
• Experience or training in ADA, Mental Health First Aid, or Appreciative Advising

Responsibilities

• Build rapport and trust with students, faculty, and staff to support successful goal completion.
• Assist students with setting goals and identifying, planning for, and overcoming potential obstacles.
• Guide students to define steps in education pathways and career planning process and completion.
• Monitors student progress toward goals.
• Connect students to existing departments and community resources.
• Planning and implementing student pathway after graduation; may include resume writing and career exploration.
• Empower students to solve problems related to progress toward academic goals, persistence, and attendance.
• Utilize motivational interviewing and coaching methods to encourage behavioral change that supports success.
• Facilitate communication with College faculty and staff.
