This role is a .6 FTE (48 hours every 2 weeks) working 8-hour night shifts, with every other weekend rotation. Variable weekday schedule.
Are you someone who enjoys building strong connections with their patients? This is an inpatient unit where all our patients have had a complicated illness or injury that requires hospital level care for an average of 25-30 days. Many of our patients are more acute than a typical Med/Surg floor. The LTACH is an excellent place to build expertise in handling patients with progressive care issues at varying levels of multi system impairment. The Bethesda LTACH is located in the former St. Joseph's facility which is now the Fairview Health & Wellness Hub.
Work under direction of nursing personnel to provide patient care while functioning as a nursing assistant and as a health unit coordinator. Duties may include: patient cares, vitals, bathing, feeding, answering call lights, transporting, care of environment (by stocking, cleaning, and maintaining rooms) and use of equipment, phones, clerical, transcription, and coordinate the flow of communication on the unit. May work as a patient care attendant.
