Job summary

ALTAHEIGHTS in is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to ensure adequate nursing department staffing aligned with budget and census targets. The role requires coordinating interviews, maintaining employee schedules, and supporting reporting processes to the DNS and HR Director.

The position emphasizes confidentiality, accuracy in payroll-related records, and timely communication with department leaders to maintain smooth facility operations.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining current listing of resident care employee phone numbers.
• Update business office with department managers' phone numbers.
• Maintain daily tardy and absenteeism calendars.
• Report to DNS all employees with excess tardiness or absenteeism.
• Coordinate interviews and scheduling with the HR Director and DNS as needed.
• Prepare and file designated staffing reports and assist with nursing department records.
• Coordinate monthly nursing schedules to ensure appropriate coverage.
• Provide orientation and training scheduling support for new hires.
