Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to ensure adequate and appropriate staffing for the nursing department based on budget and census. The role supports the Director of Nursing Services and HR in scheduling, records, and compliance.

Responsibilities include maintaining staff contact lists, posting schedules, handling time cards, and coordinating interviews and orientation for new hires within a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school education or its equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Strong organization and scheduling skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a current listing of resident care employee phone numbers.
• Update business office with department managers’ phone numbers.
• Maintain daily tardy and absenteeism calendars.
• Coordinate staffing and scheduling with the DNS and HR.
• Prepare and post nursing schedules and time sheets.
• Assist with hiring records, forms, and orientation coordination.
• Ensure newly hired staff have time cards and schedules before orientation date.
• Support interdepartmental coordination to improve staffing efficiency.
• Attend safety, recruitment, and retention committee meetings as required.
